CollabNet strengthens management team with two key executive appointments
Seasoned Veterans Assume New Roles as Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations; Help Lead Company through Next Growth Phase
BRISBANE, Calif., January 20, 2006 — CollabNet, the leading provider of on-demand distributed software development solutions, today announced two new executive appointments that strengthen the company's senior management team.
Martin Doettling has been appointed vice president of worldwide marketing. He brings extensive experience in helping growth companies effectively bring software products to market and build multi-national brands. Doettling has held senior product and marketing leadership roles with four public multi-national software companies, helped to develop three start-up companies and has introduced more than 25 major software products to market.
Mike Hallett has been appointed vice president of worldwide field operations. He brings more than 30 years of experience to CollabNet with consistent achievement in leading organizations towards growth and profitability. In his new role, Hallett will be responsible for executing a variety of channel strategies both domestically and abroad, expanding the company's execution-oriented field teams and contributing to the strategic expansion plans CollabNet has set forth.

As vice president of worldwide marketing, Doettling leads CollabNet's global go-to-market strategy. Prior to joining CollabNet, Doettling served as the senior vice president of marketing and products at Centrata, where he led the go-to-market strategy for the company's ground-breaking IT service catalog and service management solutions. Prior to Centrata, he was the senior vice president of products at Kana Software where he introduced a portfolio of industry-focused CRM applications and customer self-service solutions, creating a new benchmark for online customer service. Previously, Doettling was the vice president of worldwide marketing at Vitria, where he oversaw the market introduction of innovative business solutions for healthcare, financial services companies and wireless providers. Additionally, he held executive marketing and product management roles at Remedy, Adobe and Frame Technology. Martin holds graduate degrees from The University of Michigan, Michigan State University and the University of Freiburg, Germany.
Hallett joins CollabNet from Questra, an intelligent device management company where he was senior vice president of worldwide sales. Prior to Questra, he served as senior vice president at Kintana, where he doubled the company's revenue growth in 2001 and 2002, and helped drive the strategic repositioning that led to the successful acquisition by Mercury Interactive. Hallett served in various executive-level sales and business development roles at Oracle and Siebel during the rapid rise of both companies in the 1990s, and also held senior positions at Stratus Computer, Ultimate Inc., Honeywell and Philips.
