CollabNet named to SD Times 100 for third year in a row
Company Recognized in Best Collaboration and SCM Category
BRISBANE, Calif., June 01, 2005 — CollabNet, the leading provider of on-demand distributed software development solutions, today announced that it has been named to the 2005 SD Times 100 list of leaders and innovators in the software development industry. The company was honored in the Collaboration and SCM category for the third consecutive year.
"It’s an honor to be recognized by SD Times, a publication noted for tracking leadership and innovation in the software development market," said Bill Portelli, president and CEO of CollabNet. "This industry continues to evolve at such a rapid pace that being part of the elite group recognized by this award is a true testament to the quality and relevancy CollabNet's distributed software development solutions have in the market."
Each year, the SD Times 100 seeks to identify the industry’s movers and shakers. Companies and organizations cited in the SD Times 100 are those believed to have demonstrated the greatest amount of leadership, either through market clout or meaningful technological innovation.
"The software development industry is led by innovation," said Alan Zeichick, Editor-in-Chief of BZ Media's SD Times. "When judging the 2005 SD Times 100, several factors stood out about CollabNet, including the company’s advances in SCM and collaboration software, its reputation with development managers, and the new ideas and thought leadership that it has brought to the industry. Thanks to companies like CollabNet, the art of software development continues to advance at a rapid pace."
The SD Times 100 award is the latest in a series of industry awards CollabNet has received this year. In March, CollabNet Subversion received the Software Development Magazine Jolt Award for Change and Configuration Management, while the CollabNet Enterprise Edition solution was named a Jolt Award finalist. In early May, CollabNet was named a finalist in the Red Herring 100 Private Companies awards, and was also a winner of the InfoWorld CTO 25 Awards which recognized CollabNet’s Brian Behlendorf as one of the industry’s top 25 CIOs.
