Sun Microsystems: NetBeans
Forte for Java Community Edition is a modular, standards-based, integrated development environment (IDE), written in Java. Sun chose CollabNet to launch an open source network called NetBeans.org as the open source project for this IDE. The code at NetBeans.org currently supports Java and its architecture will support other languages as well.
