New Features & Benefits |
Focus on performance improvements and other customer requested features. New svnsync command to provide support for repository mirroring. Working copy performance improvements and improved binary delta encoding algorithm. CollabNet certified binaries using native installer packages. |
Focus on enterprise-class features to make Subversion a compelling replacement to ClearCase. Merge tracking, partial checkouts, client-side changelists, improvements to svn:externals. CollabNet certified binaries expand to include Mac OSX and certification on RHEL 5. The CollabNet packages have also been enhanced to include ViewVC and the Subversion Python API. |
Future enhancements include improving support for tree conflict detection (one user edits a file and another user has renamed it, etc.). A rewrite of the working copy library has also been proposed. This would be aimed at greatly improving performance as well as the size of the working copy. There is also ongoing discussion about what Subversion 2.0 should look like or include. For example, it has been proposed to incorporate some of the features found in distributed SCM tools such as git and Mercurial. New Features & Benefits |
Focus on support for SFEE tracker artifacts via connector for Eclipse Mylyn. Also enhanced the openCollabNet search view, based on customer feedback, to allow it to be configured to search any CEE site or project. |
Focus will be on Subversion 1.5 enhancements. Key feature will be a new graphical merge client. The merge client also includes a changeset-based merge feature for CEE and SFEE users. In addition, there are many user interface and functional improvements in the Subversion client. |
Future enhancements include deepening the integration with SFEE to include access to features beyond the tracker, such as Documents, File Releases and Tasks. This would also include auto-configuration of projects and source repositories within Eclipse. New Features & Benefits |

Focus will be on Subversion integration via AnkhSVN, which has been re-launched on openCollabNet and will include support for Subversion 1.5 features. This release will also establish an initial “CollabNet-presence” within the Visual Studio environment, including access to SFEE projects and trackers while leveraging an integrated browser client for editing artifacts. There will also be support for accessing openCollabNet and CEE-site search as well as support for accessing CUBiT and CEE artifacts via integrated browser. |
The Subversion client will continue to evolve with a goal of achieving parity with the Eclipse integration. The focus of the SFEE, CEE and CUBiT integrations will be to selectively replace the integrated browser UI with native dialogs and editors as appropriate. The general goal will be to achieve functional parity with the CollabNet Desktop - Eclipse Edition.
