Feedback has been very positive and we are in the midst of planning phase 2 of the new site with more user-driven features and content. Subversion 1.5 Status Update
Subversion is currently in Release Candidate (RC) 7. RC8, which includes one more API fix, might come later this week. General Availability could be as little as ten days away. As with previous release candidates, CollabNet makes available binaries for different platforms so you can test Subversion 1.5 and provide feedback.

AnkhSVN 2.0 Nightly Builds Available
AnkhSVN, the Subversion plugin for Visual Studio, is under active development. The community plans to release version 2.0 shortly after the release of Subversion 1.5. The plugin is not yet in Beta, but you can already download and test nightly builds.

CollabNet SourceForge 5.0: Feature Preview #1
The new Project Pages feature in CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise 5.0 allows users to easily create an entire project site, rather than just a single web page for your whole project . This includes creating nested subpages that can represent, for example, different phases of the development lifecycle. Modifying the page structure is simple: use menus or drag-and-drop functionality.
CollabNet has also added dynamic portlet-like project components, such as Documents, News, Project Statistics, and Tracker Search Results, making it easy for teams to share information and display real-time project data while respecting role-based access controls. CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise releases early this summer.

Understanding Subversion's Merge Tracking Internals
Subversion mergeinfo, or more specifically the versioned property svn:mergeinfo, is the history of merges made into a given file or directory. The svn:mergeinfo property value is simply a newline separated list of merge source paths (relative to the repository root). Each source path is followed by a colon, and after the colon a list of revisions previously merged from that source.

The latest NetBeans™ IDE 6.1 release supports a wide range of open source scripting technologies and offers improved performance. There are several new features and enhancements, such as rich JavaScript editing features, support for using the Spring web framework, and tighter MySQL integration. This release extends language support beyond Java™ technology by providing a rich set of features for C/C++, JavaScript, and the Ruby language, including Ruby on Rails. It also provides improved performance, including faster startup (up to 40%), lower memory consumption, and improved responsiveness while working with large projects.
NetBeans IDE 6.1 also contains all of the improvements made in 6.0, including integrated Subversion support, the new smarter editor, the next generation of the GUI builder (formerly known as Project Matisse), visual mobile designer, integrated profiler, and Java EE 5 support. One of the downloads available is an Early Access preview of support for PHP. Advanced versions of new modules, such as a JavaScript debugger, and support for AXIS and Hibernate, are available as separate plugins.

CollabNet Labs
CollabNet Labs is an initiative that lets CollabNet engineers and professional services staff share integrations they have created for the CollabNet Platform with the user community. CollabNet Labs integrations are free but not officially tested or documented by CollabNet.
One CollabNet Labs product, a collection of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Templates, is already available on the collabXchange, the marketplace for integrations and add-ons for the CollabNet Platform. Users of CollabNet Enterprise Edition can download ALM Templates and use them as a starting point when creating a project workspace.
