It is creating reports. Project metrics provides you with the capability of creating reports for Project Tracker data and Subversion transactional data. This feature allows the project users to obtain the Project Tracker artifact statistics and site activity statistics easily without having to go through many different pages.
Reports can be generated in both graphical as well as tabular format. The reports generated are not real-time. There is a delay of one day in capturing the data for generating the metrics.
Types of reports that can be generated:
Trend report This type of report is useful if you wish to find out how things changed over a specified period of time. For example, it allows you to generate a report on "how many requirements artifacts were filed each day in the past week? ", "how many commits have been made in a project in the last 14 days?".
Point-in-time report This type of report is useful if you wish to find out the Project Tracker artifact status until the last data-capture or the Subversion activity in the site as on a given date.
Itemized report This type of report is available as a drill-down from the graphical view of the Subversion reports (only). It is useful if you wish to know the detailed list and information of the items which constitute the actual count shown in the Subversion reports.
Pre-defined Itemized reports These reports are available for the domain owners and useful to determine the project activity, file downloads activity and user activity in the site. These are more specific to Subversion and are pre-defined itemized reports.
Any Trend or Point-in-time project level report can be linked from any ALM/PPE page or any static HTML page.
