AnkhSVN
Using AnkhSVN, developers don't need to leave their IDE to perform common Subversion-related tasks like viewing the status of source code, updating a Subversion working copy, committing changes, and browsing repositories. AnkhSVN even allows developers to plug in their favorite diff tool.
Key Features of AnkhSVN
- Optimized workflow: Perform common Subversion commands from within Visual Studio.
- Pluggable diff/merge: Use the built-in diff tools or configure AnkhSVN to use your own.
- Working Copy Explorer: Use the same interface as the Visual Studio Solution Explorer.
- Repository Explorer: Easily browse your Subversion repository using the same commands as in the Visual Studio Solution Explorer.
Microsoft and CollabNet support AnkhSVN
AnkhSVN currently provides a basic integration between Subversion and Visual Studio. Customers have asked Microsoft and CollabNet to work with the community on new features and continuity. The two companies are now partnering with the AnkhSVN community to accelerate development.
A roadmap was developed and CollabNet now contributes code, hosts the project, and has helped the development team to double in size. Microsoft provides technical services to the development team, marketing support, and organizes roadmap sessions with major customers. Expect AnkhSVN 2.0 before the summer of 2008.
