Laurence Sweeney

Laurence Sweeney has over 25 years of software development experience in a variety of roles ranging from field-based consulting as a System Performance specialist through to Factory based R&D management roles. Prior to joining CollabNet, his role as Director of Software (PDE-IT) at Hewlett Packard encompassed acquiring, deploying and managing multiple Agile ALM platforms for tens of thousands of developers and managers in dozens of divisions. As part of the HP Enterprise Transformation, Laurence led the IT group that established the world's largest centrally managed instance of HP Quality Center as well as building out a 12,000+ seat CollabNet platform instance.
In 2006 Laurence laid out and executed the strategy and vision for consolidating SCM, Build and Test Management systems across HP. Along the way the decision was made to exit ClearCase and drive to Subversion. Laurence and team developed and executed on a strategy that consolidated over 200 ClearCase rings and 4000 pairs of licenses down to less than a dozen legacy rings over a three year period. Laurence’s broad-based technical and business experience is key in assisting global enterprises to transform their methodologies to Agile and Lean development in the cloud.
