Maria Carlile
Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Maria Carlile is Vice President and General Counsel for CollabNet. She also is Corporate Secretary and heads the company's Legal and Human Resources functions. Maria brings more than 30 years of multidimensional experience in business, law and technology, representing high technology clients and specializes in software licensing, intellectual property, and corporate mergers and acquisitions. Her background includes being Senior Counsel for Bank of America NT & SA (NYSE: BAC) and Vice President and General Counsel for the Finance Division and co-head of the Asset Securitization Department of Comdisco, Inc (NYSE:CDO) where she negotiated the annual closings of $1.2 billion of private placements, loans, leases, and receivables and structured public pools of asset backed receivable financings.

Carlile is an expert in open source licensing strategies and related business models, is a frequent speaker and writer on these topics, and contributes to strategic thinking in resolving issues affecting the open source community. She is inspired by CollabNet's passion for ideas and innovation and provides leadership to the executive team in establishing best practices for intellectual property protection, organizational development, strategic acquisitions and corporate governance.

Carlile's law degree is from Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley and her undergraduate degree is from Stanford University.
