Mike Bellissimo
Vice President, Online Business and Community Strategy
Mike Bellissimo joined CollabNet in January 2008 as Vice President of Online Business and Community Strategy. In this role, Mike is responsible for supporting over 1.4M CollabNet on the Desktop users, 2.0M+ open source Subversion users and CollabNet's Technology Partners in their overall online experience as well as the global online delivery of CollabNet and Partner solutions.
A cornerstone of CollabNet's Online strategy is the launch of collabXchange which serves as a marketplace for CollabNet's developers and partners to showcase their complementary technologies, to establish communities of interest and to welcome other developers to join in collaborative development.
Distributed development has become an essential element for a range of organizations from large ISVs and enterprises to emerging web 2.0 companies. All are looking to enable greater developer productivity as well as more rapid time to market. And, they are doing it leveraging CollabNet solutions delivered through the Open CollabNet Network, CollabNet's cornerstone online property.
Mike joined CollabNet from Sun Microsystems where he held a number of executive positions over his 15 year tenure there including Senior Director for Developer Marketing and Senior Director for Sales Operations in its iPlanet joint venture with Netscape and AOL. Prior to Sun, Mike served in various management positions at Apple Computer from 1985-1991, enabling its channel partners and customers to effectively sell and leverage Apple technology.
Mike holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA from Northeastern University.
