Kevin Harvey

Prior to founding Benchmark in 1995, Kevin started two successful software companies. The first, Styleware, was founded in 1985 and pioneered integrated software for the Apple II personal computer. Claris Corporation ultimately purchased Styleware. After the acquisition, the Styleware team developed ClarisWorks, one of the best-selling software programs for the Macintosh. At his second startup, Approach Software, Kevin led the development of the first easy-to-use client/server database for Windows. Approach was acquired by Lotus Development in 1993. Kevin managed Approach as a division of Lotus for two years.
Kevin also holds Board Seats with Abaco International Group, Allegis, Ashford.com (ASFD), Broadbase Software (BBSW), CollabNet, Critical Path (CPTH), Keen.com, Red Hat Software (RHAT), RemarQ Communities, and Tellme Networks.
Kevin holds a BSEE degree from Rice University, 1987.
